APPLYING FOR A FEDERAL EFTPS NUMBER

1. Start your internet browser ( Internet Explorer / Firefox )
2. Type in the Address www.EFTPS.gov. ( the address bar is the white box at the very top of the browser )
3. Press Enter

4. Click the button marked "Enrollment"

 

5. Accept the Privacy Act ( if you agree )
6. Then click "Business" under "Enroll me as a:"
 

7. Fill-in the necessary data as described above.
8. Pay special attention to selecting "Have your financial institution initiate your transaction."
 

9. Enter the signing authority's name.
10. Enter your company's EIN ( Employer Identification Number )
11. Accept the authorization agreements.
12. Finally click "Complete"
